Ilona McHugh (BCD, ’98) is a member of the San Francisco Ballet faculty and was previously the artistic director at the Berkeley Ballet Theater. She danced with the American Ballet Theatre for 10 seasons. Some of her most memorable roles include dancing Olga in Kenneth MacMillan’s Anastasia, hand-in-hand with renowned ballet artists, such as Viviana Durante, Alessandra Ferri, and Susan Jaffe, and Big Swans in Swan Lake, for which she received complements from Julio Bocca and Kevin McKenzie. McHugh had the good fortune of being a member of the original cast of Black Tuesday and Gong.

Mikayla Fleming (CCD, ‘24) was accepted to three summer intensives: Alonzo King Lines Ballet Summer Intensive, University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) Contemporary Program with a special invitation to the Professional Program, and Boston Ballet Summer Intensive.

 

Kotone Matsuzaki (BCD, ‘26) won third place in the Junior Classical Dance category at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) San Diego regional competition.
