Dear Gala Patrons:

Earlier today, you should have received an email from me regarding the postponement of OCSA's Gala 2020 “Boots & Bling” originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14th.

Yesterday, we told you we had planned to go forward with our Gala with all precautions in place. As you are well aware, our world is changing at lightning speed these days. In light of the recent announcement about the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from Governor Gavin Newsom late yesterday evening, we have made the difficult decision to postpone OCSA's annual Gala.

We know that everyone was looking forward to participating in Saturday’s highly anticipated event. As such, we are taking the most recent governmental recommendation very seriously. Maintaining the safety, health, and well-being of our students and the surrounding OCSA community continues to be our number one priority. Although we are disappointed to be making this change so close to our celebration, we feel confident that this is the responsible choice.

Now looking forward: Gala 2020 has been rescheduled for Friday, June 19th at Hotel Irvine! As soon as we have more details confirmed, we will send you an update. We are fortunate that all our vendors are working with us with no penalties for the postponement. We hope you will continue to support this event.

• If you purchased tickets or sponsored a table: Your reservations remain in place, and we will check back with you closer to the new date to collect updated details on your guest names, should there be changes.
• If you booked a hotel room at Hotel Irvine through our OCSA reservation block: You can cancel your room without penalty by replying back to your original email confirmation and/or by calling Hotel Irvine at (877) 614-2137. We will have a new room block available for the rescheduled Gala weekend. As soon as the new room block promo code is setup, we will follow up with that information so that you may rebook.

As you know, Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we all want it to be successful. Thank you for your support and understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this postponement may have caused, but we look forward to celebrating with you soon!
